Christmas Story Time with Ms. Betsi

christmas-readingJoin us for our annual Christmas Story Time and Craft on Thursday, December 15th at 10:30 a.m.  Miss Betsi will share some of her favorite holiday stories, sing holiday songs, create a Christmas craft and enjoy some holiday refreshements.  All ages welcome.

Christmas in Schroon Lake

Stop by the library this Saturday, December 10th from 10-2 to make one or all three of our holiday crafts. All supplies included.  Stop by between 1-2 and meet one of Santas helpers who will be at the library to read holiday stories and visit with the children. Refreshments from 10-2 too! dsc04561


Closed Captioning Helps Build Literacy Skills

One motivating, engaging, and inexpensive way to help build the foundational reading skills of children is through the use of closed-captioned and subtitled television shows and movies. These supports can help boost foundational reading skills, such as phonics, word recognition, and fluency.
